Foundation

The Third World Cities Center (CCTM in his Italian acronym) inherits the cultural and teaching experience of the School of specialization in 'Technology, architecture and urban planning for Developing Countries' (Link SSPVS), which was established in 1989 at the Polytechnic of Turin.
The CCTM was established through the April 15, 2002 Council resolution of the Department Territorio, and the May 8, 2002 Council resolution of the Department of Sciences and Techniques for Settlement Process/Polytechnic of Turin, on the initiative of professors Alberto Bottari, Carlo Carozzi, Mario Fadda, Alfredo Mela, Maurizio Tiepolo, and architect Simonetta Alberico, Mario Artuso and Alezio Rivotti.
